The wine is produced from 100% Zinfandel (Primitivo), from old vines from Apulia in southern Italy. The grapes are harvested late so they have naturally dried a little on the vines, which gives a greater intensity to the juice that remains in the grapes. Both the fermentation and barrel aging took place in small American oak barrels. The color is dark and intense. Large and inviting aromas of blue and black berries as well as notes from barrel aging such as oak, peppermint and vanilla. The wine is full-bodied and has a good structure. The taste is dominated by the dark berries and exciting notes of i.a. well integrated dish, vanilla, coffee and licorice. The aftertaste is long and velvety. Serving temperature and use Serve the wine at 16-17° degrees and preferably with dishes such as red meat, pulled pork, spareribs or game. Use it if necessary.
